The American Hunter Legends are becoming increasingly popular in the UK and Europe. This Legend 290 offers a huge amount of room for a 29 footer, the accommodation space is more commonly found on a boat of 35 feet.
The cockpit is large enough to seat 6 people comfortably and with her wheel steering is easy to helm and handle. The cockpit arch, which handles the mainsheets , keeps the cockpit clear making sailing much safer. She is an easy boat to sail with all control lines coming back and has a furling headsail with inmast main sail furling.
The real winner is the accommodation. As you descend down the companionway steps you are amazed at the space down below. The forward cabin has a double berth with a hanging locker to port. The main saloon has seating for 6 around the cabin table. The galley is to port with the nav station opposite. There is a large stern cabin and the heads including a shower are starboard.
This is an ideal boat for long weekends and lovely family holidays.
