Description
âBraveheartâ is an aft deck version of the Seaward 35, custom built to a
very high specification in 2005. The boat is fitted with the dual electronic
control helm option. Powered by two 330 hp Cummins, and with a top speed in
the region of 25 knots âBraveheartâ is a great long distance cruiser which
has recently completed the trip from the West coast of Scotland to the South
coast. Recent new electronics means the latest Nav systems and software are
on board. The original high specification means comfortable living on board.
At sea she is a purposeful, workboat like vessel with and heavy rubber
fendering. She has a deep lazarette/stern locker, accessed from the aft
deck, equipped with access ladder and fitted with two shelves above the
water tanks for tool boxes, spares, folding bicycles or dinghy.
After testing the Seaward 35 in overfalls off Guernsey, the Motor Boats
Monthly boat test confirmed the sea-keeping qualities when they wrote: âThe
sea conditions through which we pushed the Seaward 35 would have forced most
other boats of a similar size, and indeed many larger craft, down to a
crawl. Worse, their occupants would have been turning green with seasickness
or white with fright. For us these are perfect test conditions. Perfect that
is if you are in a boat built for the jobâ.
